Filter Upgrades

Your water cooling tower uses evaporation to cool. But as it cools, all the impurities in the water and air are trapped and condensed. This tends to collect in your cooling system, and ultimately causes problems.

A filter system can take the dirt and gunk out of your water. Depending on how dirty your environment is, the capital expenditure for a filtration system can be repaid in about two and a half years.

Side-Stream Water Filtration

The filter is attached to the side of your cooling tower where the recycled water has been captured from the pan. The picture above shows a centrifugal back-flush sand filter that can handle up to 50 gallons per minute flow.

The picture on the left shows the sweeper nozzles that direct dirt and sludge to the center of the pan, where it can be picked up by the flow and sent to the filter.

The filtration system scrubs out dirt and sludge so your water can move more freely. This increases efficiency and reduces your maintenance.

Water is a solvent and easily carries minerals and other elements. As the water evaporates, these minerals are left to accumulate on surface areas. Unfiltered water can lead to corrosion, especially on unprotected metal surfaces.

An investment in a filtration system can create cost savings for many years in the future.
